Vessel explores form and shape where weaving tendencies occasionally spring beyond the loom. There are too many words to describe why, but the essence lies in the hand-collected Red Alder, Twin Berry, and Willow branches that form its frame. These foraged elements are twined with a purchased seagrass—though it’s not truly seagrass—adding texture and depth. I’m not calling myself a basket weaver but rather an artist who crafts each piece as an extension of my textile design practice.
 
The dimensions are 46” x 7” x 7" and it hangs from a seagrass loop on the back.
